MCBEE Skills Foundation deeply values every contribution that supports our mission of training India's next generation of AV, IT, automation, and building-systems professionals. This policy explains how we handle donor information, issue tax receipts, and process refunds.
1 Information we collect from donors
When you make a donation or express an intention to donate, we may collect:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address
- Your PAN number — required for issuing 80G tax deduction certificates where applicable
- The amount donated and your payment method (payment is processed by our payment gateway — we do not store full card or bank account details)
- Any messages, dedications, or special instructions you provide
- Your preference regarding public acknowledgement (whether you wish to be credited or remain anonymous)
2 How we use donor information
We use donor information solely to:
- Process and acknowledge your donation
- Issue a formal receipt and, where applicable, an 80G tax deduction certificate
- Send you periodic updates on the impact of your contribution — only if you have consented
- Comply with our statutory obligations, including audit, taxation, and government reporting requirements
3 Confidentiality
- We do not sell, trade, rent, or lease donor information to any third party
- We do not publicly disclose donor names, amounts, or other identifying information unless you have explicitly consented in writing
- We share donor information with our statutory auditors, tax authorities, and regulators only where required by law
- All staff and volunteers with access to donor data are bound by confidentiality obligations
4 Public acknowledgement
Some donors choose to be publicly acknowledged — in our annual reports, on this website, or at Foundation events. Public acknowledgement is entirely optional and requires your explicit written consent at the time of donation.
You may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to info@mcbeeskills.com. We will remove the acknowledgement from future publications, though we may not be able to retract materials already in print.
5 Tax exemption — Section 80G
📋 What qualifies for 80G
- Donations to the Foundation — once our 80G registration is granted, eligible donations receive a tax deduction certificate under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961
- Paid course fees (Track Two) are NOT 80G eligible — these are fee-for-service payments, not charitable donations
- PAN is mandatory for issuing an 80G certificate. We can still accept your donation without PAN, but cannot issue the certificate.
Once our 80G registration is granted, we commit to:
- Issue the 80G certificate within 30 days of the donation being credited
- File the required statement (Form 10BD) with the Income Tax Department as mandated
- Maintain records of all donations for the period required by applicable law
Note: 80G registrations are subject to renewal. Eligibility is valid for the period during which our registration is active.
6 Refund and cancellation policy
We understand that donations may sometimes need to be reversed. Our policy is as follows:
Duplicate or accidental donations
If you believe you have donated by mistake or your payment method was charged twice, please contact us at info@mcbeeskills.com within 30 days of the transaction, providing:

Your name and the transaction reference number

Proof of the donation (a screenshot or bank statement is sufficient)

A brief reason for the refund request
We will review and respond within 7 working days. If the refund is approved, we will process it within 10 working days to the original payment method.
Cancellation before payment
If you have expressed an intention to donate but have not yet made payment, no action is required on your part. You are under no obligation.
After an 80G certificate is issued
Once an 80G certificate has been issued for a donation, we generally cannot process a refund, as it creates a tax compliance complication. In exceptional circumstances, we will handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis with guidance from our Chartered Accountant. If approved, the 80G certificate must be returned to us before the refund is processed.

- Duplicate / accidental charges
- Requests within 30 days with proof
- Processing errors on our side
✗ We will not refund
- Requests more than 30 days after transaction
- After public acknowledgement has been published
- Donations made in bad faith or with fraudulent intent
- After 80G certificate issued (except exceptional cases)
7 Donation receipts
Every donor receives:
- Confirmation email — immediately on successful donation (system-generated)
- Formal donation receipt — within 7 working days
- 80G certificate — within 30 days (where applicable and eligible)
Receipts are sent to the email address provided at the time of donation. You may request a duplicate receipt at any time by emailing info@mcbeeskills.com.
8 Foreign donations
We are not currently authorised to receive donations from foreign sources under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA). We can only accept donations from Indian residents and Indian-registered entities.
This clause will be updated if and when FCRA registration is obtained.
9 Your rights as a donor
As a donor, you have the right:
- To be informed of the Foundation's mission, governance structure, and how your contribution will be used
- To know the identity of those serving on the Foundation's board of directors
- To access our most recent audited financial statements by writing to info@mcbeeskills.com
- To receive appropriate acknowledgement for your contribution
- To be assured that your donation information is handled with full confidentiality and respect
- To ask questions about our programmes and receive prompt, honest, and forthright answers
- To opt out of future communications from us at any time
- To receive a receipt and, where applicable, an 80G certificate promptly
- To request a refund under the terms stated in §6 above
